Dr. Ferit Yegenoglu is Director of Research and Engineering at Isocore. In this position he leads and participates in research programs in the areas of IP-based Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), network security, traffic and performance modeling and analysis, IP/Optical integration, and high speed transport layer protocols. He also oversees interoperability testing activities in MPLS based layer 2 and Layer 3 VPNs, MPLS-based network resiliency mechanisms, and IP-Optical integration. Prior to joining Isocore Dr. Yegenoglu was an advisory engineer at UUNET/Worldcom where he led and participated in various IP network traffic engineering, capacity planning, and IP-optical integration architecture development activities. Prior to that Dr. Yegenoglu was with COMSAT Laboratories as senior scientist and subsequently as manager of the Network Systems Department where he was responsible for the technical management of projects in the areas of advanced satellite networking systems and architectures. Dr. Yegenoglu’s research interests include network architectures, network optimization, network and traffic modeling and analysis, high speed transport layer protocols, network security, and IP/optical integration.
