David Putzolu is a senior staff architect in Intel Research and Development, where he leads efforts to define product software architecture and standards that enable rapid development of networking equipment through a modular software and hardware building block approach. David co-founded and co-chairs the Forwarding and Control Element Separation Working Group in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). David is also the Principal Editor of the Network Processing Forum Software working group. David holds a Masters of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, where he architected and designed the software stack of a HIPPI/ATM router.
