Patrick Verkaik obtained his M.Sc. in Computer Science in 1996 at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. He became the lead Scientific Programmer for the Globe project at the Vrije Universiteit (large-scale wide-area distributed systems). He is the author of three papers and a poster. Since joining CAIDA in 2002, he has been performing research and programming in the area of BGP routing and convergence for the atomised routing project.
